The School Health Law states that every child entering Eleventh Grade must have a physical examination.  Your family doctor is the person best qualified to evaluate your child.

It is advisable to have your child’s MCV (Meningococcal Conjugate Vaccine) at this time.

Pennsylvania School Immunization Requirement for MCV

1st dose is given 11-15 years of age, with 2nd dose required at age 16 or entry into 12th grade.

If the dose was given at 16 years of age or older, only 1 DOSE is required.

*The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania requires that all 11th grade students have physical examinations*

* The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania requires that all 12th grade students receive their 2nd dose of MCV4 prior to the first day of 12th grade*
